A thousand pale men, with banners of light
Looked at each other, and roared in delight
They greeted themselves, and their glorious lives
They had been to the realms, where the angels decline
A palace of mercury, of blood and of clay
A palace of Worms and of moral decay
They had seen the great god, a pitiful man
They had taken his life, as another god can
What man has created, man may destroy
Let's feast on his corpse, and reinstate joy
