Walkin' through the jungle just the other day.
Mindin' my business and goin' my way,
When I heard a loud noise like a big stampede,
It was a bunch of wild bees... comin' right at me!
All of a sudden, from out of the brush,
Somethin' big hit me like a greyhound bus.
When I picked myself up out of the dust
I knew I'd been hit... by a hippopotamus.
Suddenly I saw this mangy creature.
Man, you'd never seen such ugly features.
I said what are you, I'd like to know.
He grinned at me and said Honk! I'm a dodo.

I said hey lion what's a goin' on there?
He just kept goin' and he shook his mane.
I said man this jungle... won't never be the same.
I saw a screamin' ape clingin' to a vine.
Swingin' through the jungle like he's lost his mind.
He screamed at me and said hey have you heard?
You better turn around and run... from that awful bird.
Suddenly I saw this mangy creature.
